Qualifications for Association Membership
Welcome to the Association of Osteobiology! We are thrilled to have you here and cannot wait to show you all the guidelines for becoming a member.
As a member, you'll have access to a community of like-minded professionals who perform cutting-edge research and made groundbreaking advancements in the field of Osteobiology. We believe that together, we can achieve great things and positively impact the world of science. So join us today, and let's embark on this exciting journey together!
In order to be considered for membership, the following guidelines must be met:
1.) The person should be an established leader in the bone and mineral field, well-recognized by their achievements to join the Association, which is a select honor society. At its meetings, junior investigators can be invited to attend and interact with the Association’s members.
2.) Candidates should have a substantial body of work in the bone and mineral field and have or had funded research and considerable numbers of related publications.
3.) Persons who are more junior may be given an exception and be considered for membership if they have been recognized by significant awards from societies such as ASBMR, ECTS, Endocrine Society, ORS, and equivalent national societies.
4.) Qualities of collegiality/ congeniality/ mentoring are sought in candidates for membership.
5.) Nominations will be considered from existing members with the candidate’s CV, and letters from the nominating member and a seconding member.
